Supreme Models is a six-part documentary series tracing the history and cultural impact of Black models who transformed the fashion industry. Inspired by Marcellas Reynolds' book of the same name, the series brings together generations of models, designers, photographers, editors, and cultural figures to examine the barriers Black women faced and overcame — and the extraordinary influence they have had on beauty, fashion, and culture.
As a director and executive producer, Rolake helped shape the series from development through production and post, building a visual and editorial approach that balanced the glamour of the fashion world with personal stories of identity, representation, and belonging. The series features Iman, Zendaya, Veronica Webb, Halima Aden, Precious Lee, and other leading voices from across the industry.
Produced for YouTube Originals, Supreme Models has generated more than 8 million views on YouTube and expanded to a new global audience when the series began streaming on Netflix in 2025.
